THE STONEHOUSES TERMS & CONDITIONS

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

The houses are let in peak season (approximately April to October) on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday. The house will be available from 4.30pm on the day of rental and should be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure to allow us to undertake the cleaning in time for subsequent guests.

On Arrival Call 01854 613838 or call at Hill Cottage which is located below the Stonehouses – The old white house behind the steading.

If you are arriving after 5.30pm, it would be very useful if you could let us know an approximate arrival time.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY

The Stonehouses are only insured for the specified occupancy (4 in Curved Stone House). No additional occupants are permitted to stay overnight in the Houses without prior arrangements with the owners.

CANCELLATION  POLICY

If for any reason you need to cancel your reservation then you should contact us  as soon as possible and confirm your cancellation in writing. We will make every effort to market the available space to enable us to provide you with a full refund and the sooner you inform us of a cancellation, the more chances that we can fill the vacancy. If we are unable to fill the vacancy, costs will be incurred as follows:

• Cancellation given prior to 8 weeks before booking commences: LOSS OF DEPOSIT

• Cancellation less than 8 weeks before booking commences: FORFEIT LOSS OF FULL RENTAL (DEPOSIT & FULL BALANCE)

We would strongly recommend that clients take out full holiday insurance to protect against this possible loss of deposit/rental.

PARKING

Parking for two vehicles is available on site.

PETS

We are sorry not to be able to accommodate pets at either house.

SMOKING

The Stonehouses are no smoking

DISABILITY ACCESS

We are very sorry not to be able to offer disability access due to the nature of the site. Guests should be aware that there is no vehicular access to the door of the houses which are accessed by stepped foot paths (around 50 steps). Assistance can be provided with luggage.

CHILDREN

Due to the gorge and waterfall, YOUNG children cannot be accommodated in Tree Top House. Children are most welcome at Curved Stone House.

DAMAGES

We understand that smaller damages do occur in the natural run of things but would expect that any damages sustained as a result of misuse would be paid for. Please do let us know about any damages or non-functioning items as quickly as you can so that we can get them repaired in good time.
